The EPNS is delighted to announce that we will be offering FREE 1 hour to 1.5 hour long webinars on topics of key interest to Child Neurologists on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 17:00h CET.
Each webinar will be broadcast live on Zoom and available for FREE to anyone who would like to register. Don’t worry if you are not available for the live broadcast however because fully paid up EPNS members will be able to access a recording of the full session via the EPNS website after the event.

Topic: Genetic testing: What a Paediatric Neurologist should knowDescription: With the progress of technology and communication, leading to exponential knowledge in genetics in the last 10 years, the Pediatric Neurologist may face the difficulty of understanding the limits and role of testing, choosing the right genetic test, or using the results. HOW to do it, WHY to do it and HOW to use it? – these are the questions.
Starting from clinical examples, let’s discuss the value of negative genetic results, of variants of unknown significance, or how to use genetic information. Genetic advice to prevent disease recurrence and personalized care became a reality today. Avoiding harmful treatments or selecting the right ones (drugs, diets or surgery) according to the genetic defect (gene, type of variant, or the functional impact) are of paramount importance for immediate treatment efficacy, avoiding treatment induced complications or negative disease progression.
